Dear friends and family:
Attached is Ellie's prayer letter she has made up (with some technical assistance) explaining about her summer missions trip to Spain. We are thrilled she has this opportunity to serve God this summer. Ellie loved her experience in Spain last summer, including with the BCM camp personnel there, and applied herself to go as a short-term volunteer this summer. Centro Biblico Betel, our of our BCM camps on a beautiful property in the grounds of the Spanish royal palace, takes just two foreign counselor/staff each year (the other one a Bible college student), so for Ellie this is going to be full immersion into Spanish. Please pray for her as she takes this step of independence in being gone for seven weeks from home, not to mention traveling alone to Spain. Please pray as well for God's provision of funds for this trip. The total she needs is $2968.00 to cover air fare, room and board, and other living expenses for seven weeks. At this moment, about $500 of that is available. But we are trusting God that this is His plans for Ellie' summer and that he will provide. If you are interested in helping with the trip, guidelines for ministry donations are given in the attached letter.

       BCM International

Dear friends and family,

Hello, my name is Ellie Windle, daughter of Marty and Jeanette Windle. I was born in Bolivia, where my parents served as missionaries for 16 years. I am now living in Lititz, Pennsylvania, where my father is serving as the president of BCM International. I am sixteen years old and finishing 10th grade.

BCM International is a mission with over 750 missionaries serving in more than 50 countries around the world. BCM began as the Bible Club Movement, and one of their biggest ministries is still telling children about Jesus through Bible clubs and camps. BCM has camps in more than 25 countries.

One of these camps is Centro Bíblico Betel in La Granja, Spain, a small town about two hours from Madrid right outside of Segovia. The camp is actually on the grounds of the royal summer palace of Spain. The camp can reach about 60 campers. They hold camps for children, youth, and in August for adults.

This is important because Spain is a country where very few people attend church. Churches are very small, often 25-50 people, and Christian children and youth have a hard time finding other Christian friends because they may be the only ones in their church. But at camp each summer, they have the opportunity to be together with other Christian friends, to study the Bible and hear about Jesus. At Betel the kids look forward all year to seeing the friends they made the last summer.

I have been accepted to work at Betel as a short-term BCM volunteer this summer. I will be there from June 9-July 30. I will be helping in the kitchen, with the kids, and anything else the camp director Isabel Leitch needs me to do.

I am extremely excited for this trip! Last summer I had the opportunity to travel with my dad and mom all over Europe to visit our BCM missionaries and camps and really enjoyed the trip. Spain, I have to say, is the most beautiful country I’ve been to. I especially love the people and their language. This trip will give me an exciting chance to share God’s love with Spanish children and also to improve on my Spanish and get a fuller perspective of another country’s culture.

The cost that I need to raise for this missions trip is $2968.00.  This will cover air fare, room and board, and other living expenses for seven weeks. Please pray for me that I would be able to raise this sum, and also that I would serve Jesus and others faithfully this summer in Spain. If you would like to partner with me in making this trip possible, please send any donation to: BCM International, 309 Colonial Drive, PO Box 248, Akron, PA 17501, designated Windle Ministry Fund/Ellie Spain trip. Or donations can also be given on-line at www.bcmintl.org , with the same designation.

Thank you SO much for being part of this adventure for Jesus with me.

Sincerely,

Ellie Windle
