In 1985, they moved to Bolivia as missionaries with the Gospel Missionary Union (now AVANT Ministries) an interdenominational Christian mission organization. While her husband served as field director, Jeanette worked with women and children at risk in varied regions of Bolivia.

Marty and Jeanette have four children---Michael, Joshua, Stephen, and Ellie.

Jeanette began her publishing/writing career producing Spanish-language educational and inspirational material for women and children at risk as well as writing articles for a variety of international publications. This was followed over the next years by the Parker Twins Adventure Series, a teen novel Jana’s Journal, and adult political/suspense titles, CrossFire, The DMZ, FireStorm, and Zona de Despeje. Her most recent suspense novel, Betrayed, will be released by Tyndale House Publishers in March, 2008.

Marty and Jeanette moved to Miami in June, 2000, when Marty assumed the position of Vice-President of General Services for the Latin America Mission, a nondenominational Christian mission organization working throughout Latin America. Jeanette developed a ministry as consulting editor and mentor in training indigenous writers in a dozen different countries from Mexico, Spain, Philippines to Croatia and Bulgaria.

In January, 2006, Marty and Jeanette moved again to Lancaster, PA, when Marty accepted the position of President of BCM International, formerly the Bible Club Movement, a nondenominational mission organization with 750+ missionaries in some 50 countries across 5 continents. Jeanette is the editor of BCM World, BCM’s news magazine, and continues to work with developing Christian writers around the world.
